What (who) is μ - definition

TWELFTH LETTER OF THE GREEK ALPHABET
Micro symbol; Μ; Me (letter); Mju; Mi (letter); \mu; Μῦ; Mu (Greek); Mu (character); Mu (Greek letter); µ
  • Greek letter mu

Modal μ-calculus
EXTENSION OF PROPOSITIONAL MODAL LOGIC BY ADDING THE LEAST FIXED POINT OPERATOR Μ
Modal mu calculus; Modal μ calculus; Modal m calculus; Mu calculus; Modal mu-calculus; Μ-calculus; Mu-calculus; Μ calculus; Lμ
In theoretical computer science, the modal μ-calculus (Lμ, Lμ, sometimes just μ-calculus, although this can have a more general meaning) is an extension of propositional modal logic (with many modalities) by adding the least fixed point operator μ and the greatest fixed point operator ν, thus a fixed-point logic.
Μ-law algorithm
  • Inverse μ-law function
  • μ-law function
  • μ-law decoding as generated with the Sun Microsystems C-language routine g711.c commonly available on the Internet.
AUDIO COMPANDING ALGORITHM
Mu-law; Mu law; M-law; U-law; ULaw; Μ-law; U-Law; ULAW; M-law algorithm; Mulaw; Ulaw; Mu-law algorithm; Μ-Law; M-Law; PCMU; G.711Mu; G.711μ
The μ-law algorithm (sometimes written mu-law, often approximated as u-law) is a companding algorithm, primarily used in 8-bit PCM digital telecommunication systems in North America and Japan. It is one of two versions of the G.
General recursive function
ONE OF SEVERAL EQUIVALENT DEFINITIONS OF A COMPUTABLE FUNCTION
Partial recursive function; Total recursive function; Mu-recursive; Mu recursive function; Mu-recursive function; Recursive function theory; M-recursive function; Μ recursion; General-recursive; General recursive; Recursive function (computability); Μ-recursive function; Μ-recursive
In mathematical logic and computer science, a general recursive function, partial recursive function, or μ-recursive function is a partial function from natural numbers to natural numbers that is "computable" in an intuitive sense – as well as in a formal one. If the function is total, it is also called a total recursive function (sometimes shortened to recursive function).

Mu (letter)

Mu (uppercase Μ, lowercase μ; Ancient Greek μῦ [mŷː], Greek: μι or μυ—both [mi]) is the 12th letter of the Greek alphabet, representing the voiced bilabial nasal IPA: [m]. In the system of Greek numerals it has a value of 40. Mu was derived from the Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol for water, which had been simplified by the Phoenicians and named after their word for water, to become 𐤌img (mem). Letters that derive from mu include the Roman M and the Cyrillic М.
